Schedule

I'm finally back to blogging, if you haven't already noticed I've randomly popped back up in your feeds! With my little busy body needing to get her energy out, I spend most of my time reading books, taking walks, playing with puzzles and creating disasters with her. I love it. I have missed blogging, I've made some great friends through my blog and theirs. I feel like I've abandoned most of those friends, but don't worry I still check up on your blogs, at about 2:30 am when I can't sleep but my body doesn't want to leave bed. I'm here.

I've been trying to figure out a schedule to get some me time in when hubs is home, but with his new 5 day work weeks, and then working out at the gym 4 nights, it leaves very little time for me to have my separate time away from him and A. We try and spend as much time as we can as a family, we shut off ringers, turn off computers and put away everything when we're together and don't have family chores to do, such as cleaning up our messes & grocery shopping.

It's taken time but I think I've figured it out well sort of. With the weather being nice now and A loving being outside, hubs & A are going to spend time out in the yard while I take a sanity break, maybe its just a quick blog post or painting my nails but I will get my time, I will be able to get back into the groove of those friendships I have made. Just letting you guys know I am here! I do think about you guys & hope you all are doing well!

Apricot Chicken

So I want to show some blogger support to Shelley from Life Hand in Hand

This is her new blog recipe link-up! Though I haven't made this yet & gotten a picture its one of my go to recipes when I'm unsure what to make!

Apricot Chicken.

4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast (Just whatever you need to make for your family works too!)
1/2 Jar Apricot Preserves.
1 packet Onion Soup Mix
Catalina or French Dressing

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. I like to cut the chicken into chunks, I think it makes the flavor better, covering every bite in the sauce is delicious! Anyway, throw the chicken into a baking pan, 9 x 13 works or 8 x 8. Then in a separate bowl mix the Apricot Preserves (Jam), Onion Soup Mix & Dressing together, I don't think I quite use half of the container of dressing, I just add till it seems like a good saucy consistency, & also till I think it smells right, don't want too much onion smell, or too much dressing, want to make sure I can smell a bit of everything!

*If you're making more than just 4 chicken breasts, then make more sauce, just do what feels right to you!*
Anyway, cook it for about 45 minutes or until the chicken is cooked, serve over rice! If you're like me and like a little sauce on your rice then I'm happy to tell you that you'll have left over sauce in the pan! Enjoy!

I love to bake more than I love to cook, so if this link up lasts I will definitely be sharing some of my favorite desserts!!

Thanks Shelley for this great link-up!!

CD 1.

I just realized this is my first real cycle since stopping BC, would I say TTC? Ummm I don't think so, but not preventing, we are trying to just go with the flow, trying to put the 18 months we waited for A to give us those two pink lines in the past. I know it's not going to be easy, I think about it constantly but I know that the best thing is to not stress like I did before.

I'm trying to go into this next phase of our lives with a better attitude, and with better knowledge, I understand my body a lot better this time around. I feel better prepared. I don't know, I just feel different.  Right now, I feel ready for whatever it is life is going to bring us, maybe its another long road to baby #2, but maybe it happens right away, only God knows what is in store, and I know whatever that might be, it's right for us.

PCOS.

If you followed my blog in the very beginning, or ventured back and got to know me better, you'll know that it took us 18 months to get pregnant with Miss A. I saw a RE who though it was PCOS and he put me on Metformin for 3 months to see if that changed anything, and it did. I wasn't able to take it very often, I threw up constantly when I did, but I was able to lose about 10lbs and we got pregnant.

So far since having A I've kept that weight off, I'm about 3lbs heavier than I was before I got pregnant. I've been working out, cut soda out for about a month, and seem to be gaining weight, my face is breaking out & I think I'm seeing some extra hair on my face, sexy right? If you know PCOS those are some signs.

See this whole thing started about a week or two ago when I started breaking out more, which NEVER happens. I figured I'd look up my birth control only to find it's the same as the shot, just lower doses. Acne & weight gain could happen too, so after some contemplation we agreed that I would stop the pill and see if my acne went away and if my weight went down, were going to watch things a week at a time, but I know I need
to do more, I'm worried about every pound I gain being PCOS.

It's been about a week since I stopped taking my BC. My face has cleared up and I seem to be losing a little weight, just going back to what I was before. I was also told to take extra Folic acid at my last appointment. Which seems to be making my stomach sick, any suggestions? I take it at night with my prenatal. Not sure what to do.

Hubs is starting a diet this next week since he's gained about 60lbs since I had A. I wanted to try a PCOS diet plan, at least for breakfast & for dinner a few nights a week, but I can't plan both a plan for him & a plan for me and make them work, he has a very specific plan, and I don't know if I  want to try & make the two work together. It's bad enough I already have to change everything around for him.

Sounds mean, I know. But without him helping around the house at all, its just easier to not mess with too many things. I know some of you deal with/have dealt with PCOS, any thoughts? Ideas? Help. Ha.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Fur Baby Friday-Storms

Oh Scout, such a cute little puppy, though you are getting quite shaggy looking. The storms around here the last few days, will last for a few more days, it breaks my heart a little to see you shake & shiver. You are terrified of storms, even a little wind or a light rain make you nervous. Oh puppy how I wish you could enjoy the relaxing sounds, knowing you are safe at home with your family.
