About a year ago, little problems started popping up with our house. Oh the joys of owning a home. Don't get me wrong, I love my house. I love knowing that it's mine. I love that I can have a dog & hang pictures on the wall. I love that I can change the paint color as often as I want. I can do what I want, because it is my house.
Anyway, with all the problems popping up with our house & the fact that my husband worked an hour and a half away, we wanted to start looking for a new house. Now that he has a job that's only about half an hour out, we decided we want to wait and save up for a nicer, bigger house. A new build.
When we started looking for our current house, things fell into place nearly perfectly. We were able to get the Tax Benefit for First Time Home buyers. Also, mortgage rates were pretty low. About half what they were when my cousin & his wife bought their town house. We were set on building two different house before we got this house. We love this neighborhood.
I don't know if I want to move out of it.
We're planning on staying at least another year here, so we can fix everything up.
We're already building our dream home out in our heads.
A porch.
Great land.
Not too big of a city.
Great schools.
Great yard.
3 car garage.
I just hope that the low mortgage rates that are floating around now, are still around when we start looking again. Well seriously looking. I've found some beautiful houses, that I want! Henry Walker homes are gorgeous. Oh how I love visiting them!
If you were building your dream home, what would you want in it?

My husband and I hope to build our dream home in a few years. I keep getting ideas of what I want. I want a really nice spa type bathroom for myself where I can relax. On the outside I also want the driveway to go underneath like an arch that is part of the house to the back of the house. Don't know how to describe that one. Anyway, it is so exciting to house shop!
We have a dump of a house, which sucks because it is suppose to be new construction. We are looking at a new place, yet we have to redo two bathrooms before even thinking of selling.
Dream list:
Lots of land.
Master bathroom (we didn't think we wanted one originally)
On the water.
