Firmoo Sunglasses Review

Remember these sunglasses?

Okay maybe you don't.
I've had them for quite a while.
Okay maybe a couple months.
Well guess what. They broke!

Like I have to put a lens back into the frame every time I want to wear them.
Seriously, our Yellowstone trip was quite interesting with me wearing them, always have to check my purse for the lens.
Not cool.

About a week before Yellowstone I was asked to try some sunglasses out from Firmoo.

I got online & started browsing their website.
I was immediately in LOVE with these glasses.
Check out the awesome detail on the sides! Perfect right?!

I wasn't sure what they'd look like on me though.
But hey, no worries!
They have a way to try them on!!

What do ya think? I know, love them right?
I wasn't so sure about the teal color but...
they had them in black! So I placed my order
and when I got back from Yellowstone, I had them waiting for me!

Love them!
Love the detail on them,
love the shading!
I even got a pretty awesome case to put them in!
Meaning, A can't get to them & A can't break them.
Maybe I should add that I can't break or lose them if they're in a case.

Hey bloggers, I bet you didn't know that Firmoo is

Check out the link above for more information!

But I just have to tell you one more time,

Next time you're looking for glasses or sunglasses, check out Firmoo!
I know I will!

* I did receive these sunglasses for free to review, but all opinions are my own! *

Fall Decorations

Who isn't excited for fall!?
I don't have a lot of fall decorations, but I love the ones I do have.
Here are a few pictures of what I've got up so far.

Love pumpkins, love the leaves, and those little scarecrows, A loves them.
 They're just her size.

Seriously hoping to get more decorations up.
Hoping to find some more that I just love.

What are your favorite things to decorate with for fall?

Sunday Social!

Sunday Social

1. What is something you have wanted to do but are afraid of?
Speak my mind more often to my in-laws. Maybe not just to my in-laws. I feel like I usually try and keep stuff in, keep calm & just let things pass. I just feel like I need to start getting a little louder & not taking their crap!

2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I'll be 28. Wow. That's a year older than what my husband is now.
I want to be in a new house, love for hubs to have a job that he loves.
Maybe 1 more kid, maybe 2?

3. What are you looking forward to before the end of 2012?
Right now as I'm writing this (Tuesday) I'm waiting for our vacation!
We left (leave) Friday!
I'm hoping to get some more vacations in before the end of the year!

4. What are your hopes for your blog?
Honestly, I've thought about how I want to grow it big & have lots of followers, but honestly, I want followers who want to follow, I want friends. I've made quite a few good friends through blogging, that's really all I could ask for and more.

5. Do you always see yourself living in your current town/city?
I love the area I live it. I've lived here for 7 years now.
3 1/2 in my own home. Seriously great area. We want a bigger house eventually so I don't see us staying here forever, but we will definitely not go to far from this area!

6. What is your morning routine
*Thinks to self* Why can't I sleep in??
Let dog outside.
Turn computer on.
Sit at computer, mostly wondering what in the heck I was going to do.
Eventually sometime in the morning my brain actually catches up to the fact that my body is up and moving around & my day begins!

Gallery Wall Project Part 1

About a month ago I finally picked a wall to be my mini Gallery Wall. It is facing the living room & we used to have a picture on it, but it seemed so plain so now I'm starting a Gallery Wall! It might take forever to get it up, but it's been fun thinking of all the different things I can do! This is my first Mod Podge project & I'm super excited about it. I can't wait to get it all hung up!!

TTC #2 Update.

I feel like we're officially more than before, back into the TTC game. We've been trying for 6 Cycles now. I go by cycles. Easier for me to remember for whatever reason.

So last week I wrote this post.
I got a lot of comments encouraging me just to call and ask some questions. That's what I did Monday morning.

I called. I told the nurse what was going on & she said come in tomorrow morning for a consult with the Doc. Well that's what I did.

It wasn't at all what I was expecting. I was expecting a, "We don't usually see patients until it's been a year".

I should have known by that call that the whole appointment wasn't going to be what I expected.

I was so nervous, for whatever reason. (I'm sure some of you will understand)
I even heard the nurses talking outside the door, almost sounded like they were making fun of me. Just something about the tone of their voices that nearly made me cry.

When my doctor came in, he was very straight forward & very clear with his plan. (so nice)
He asked about my previous Dr. visits (pre-pregnancy with A.)
Said that he wanted to start with Clomid.

He just took out a card & started writing, telling me that he had a plan.

Day 1: Start
Day 3-9: Clomid
Day 10-17: Try
Day 24: Appt (Oct 2)
Day 30: Pg Test

It was really that simple.
It worked out perfect, I went in on Cycle Day 3, perfect time for blood work,
perfect time to start Clomid.

On Thursday his office called to let me know that my blood work came back normal.

So now I sit here Day 10 writing this. Listening to giggles & watching my hubs chase my little climber around. We have a plan. It's a new plan.
I have my doctor on my side.

This cycle things are already different. I've stopped drinking caffeine and I've also gotten very good at remembering to take my Prenatal, Iron & Folic Acid.

I don't know if it'll work out this cycle.
All I know is, we have a plan.
It will work out when it's supposed to.

Me Myself & I Link Up 3

1) When you're feeling down, what do you do to pick yourself up?
Beauty night. A nice face mask, pedicure & hot bath!
Always makes me feel better if I feel good about myself.

2)  If you had to live in a different time period which would you prefer?
I'm not really good with knowing my time periods,
honestly I have to look them up most of the time
But I love the 50's style!
Love the dresses! Would love to wear dresses more often & not feel strange.
Though I'm sure it'd get old fast!

3)  What is the most creative Halloween costume you've ever worn?
I really wish I had answer for this! So here's a picture of A on Halloween!

4)  Five weird things about you we wouldn't know without being told?
1. I'm allergic to tomatoes, even ketchup makes me itch & feel awful. (People thing it's weird, I don't)
2. I always think situations through fully. (Drives my husband crazy) Like I'll think of every possible outcome just to make sure I know what I'm going to say or how I'll react. Crazy. I know.
3. I have to wear shoes whenever I go downstairs. Seriously the thought of stepping on something or walking by a bug freaks me out.

Why can't I think of anymore? I know I'm weird, just what makes me weird? Ha.

5)  What would you tell your 16-year-old self?
Stop being so darn shy! No one in this state knows you! You can be whoever you want to be!
(At 16 we moved to Utah from California)

Conceive Easy

Just about 2 cycles ago, I was lucky enough to get to test out the
 ConceiveEasy TTC Kit.

This is what the kit looks like when you get it!
I was too excited to open it and see it all the I forgot to take a picture of it! But seriously, that's what it looks like.

Now if you're TTC & have been for a while, you might be like me. A little crazy with the pregnancy tests. So when I got to my box & noticed how many there were I was thrilled!

But something else was in the box Ovulation tests. I had no idea when to start using them & wish there was just a bit more info in the box for me. I love info & would much rather have a pamphlet full of info then having to turn to the internet for help. But they did have some great info on their site, you can find that here

It also included a BBT, which I've never been great at using, but I gave it a shot!

I love this kit. It had just about everything I needed, (only thing missing- more info.). Though they do have a website all about how to get pregnant &; it was super handy for that. Now I didn't get pregnant while using this kit, BUT I did feel better while I was taking the pills to help you get pregnant.
 It's hard to explain.

I would definitely recommend this to someone TTC, it doesn't hurt to try something.
When I was TTC the first time around I went with as much natural stuff I could before going to see a doctor. It's definitely worth giving it a try!

** Though I was given the TTCKit to review, all opinions are my own. **

Sunday Social.

Sunday Social

1. 5 items you can't live without on a daily basis(water, food, shelter, and clothes dont count)
Iphone, something with caffeine in it (cup of coffee/diet coke)
Netflix, mascara & a hair dryer.

2. All time favorite book? Why?
There has really only been one book, that I've read over & over again.

Seriously, love the notebook. Don't know why I've read it so many times, I know the story. Just something about it draws me back over & over again.

3. Something you'd like to accomplish before the end of 2012
I want to read 30 books. I read like 2-3 a week lately but I want to keep it up. I've enjoyed reading so much the last couple months, I don't know why I even stopped.

4. If you could go back and relive any year of your life which year would it be?
2008. I feel like that year was rushed. I'd also love to do my wedding day again.

5. What do you wish people knew about you without you having to tell them?
A lot of people (my in-laws) seem to think that me being quiet & keeping to myself is me being rude.
I'm shy, always have been, though lately I feel I'm growing out of it. Seriously it freaks me out to have to go see someone I don't know that well, or visit people I don't see that often, makes me sick. My in-laws have always thought that me not being super outgoing or loud, or telling them every detail of my life is a bad thing. It's just who I am.

Pretty Physicist!

Friends, I am SUPER excited to have a guest post today! Jess is my newest large sponsor, you can she her shiny button over on the right! I'm going to say it again, I'm super excited to have her here & can't wait to try out what she's shared with us today!

Hi, I'm Jess, the Pretty Physicist

I am a 20-something physicist working as an engineer.
I love reading, cooking, and shopping, and I live by the mantra:
"Who says smart can't be pretty?"

My blog is about a little of everything, especially my day-to-day life. I am real and honest, and I hope you'll decide to come check it out.
You can find me on:

I love Mexican food, and I love spicy food. These enchiladas are from a recipe that I got from my best friend. Because they're so delish, I want to share the recipe with you. I will preface this by saying that I make 2 kinds - black bean for me and chicken for hubby - but I can make them at the same time with minimal difficulty. You can replace the chicken with any meat you like - ground beef or turkey, steak, etc. It is seriously a "whatever you like" enchilada.

olive oil

1 chicken breast, chopped (2 if you're making chicken only)

1 can black beans, drained and rinsed (omit if making chicken only)

1 large can enchilada sauce

1 small onion, chopped

2 chipotles in adobo, diced

1 can diced tomatoes with jalapenos, drained

1 small can corn, drained (or 1 cup frozen corn, thawed)

1 small can diced chiles, drained

chili powder (to taste)

cayenne pepper (to taste)

crushed red pepper flakes (to taste)

12 tortilla shells (flour or corn - both work equally well)

shredded cheese

1. Saute chicken in olive oil until cooked. Remove from pan, saute onion in same pan until soft and translucent

2. Add chipotles, diced tomatoes, corn, chiles, and spices and cook until heated through.

3. At this point, if you're me, you split the veggie mixture into two frying pans, add the chicken to one and the black beans to the other. If you're making all meat, just add the meat into the veggie mixture.

4. Spread a little enchilada sauce on the bottom of the baking dishes, put the rest in an empty pie plate.

5. Dip the tortillas (both sides) in the sauce, fill with approximately 1/2c of the mixture, roll up, and line up in baking dish. If there is any extra filling, I just put it around the enchiladas in the dish. Dipping the tortillas in the sauce keeps the tortillas from drying out and really helps distribute the flavors.

6. Sprinkle the tops of the enchiladas with shredded cheese and bake at 350F for approximately 20 minutes or until heated through and the cheese is melted.

This recipe makes 12 enchiladas - enough for hubby and I to both eat a good dinner and have left overs for lunch the next day!

Show & Tell Monday: Babies.

1. Tell us your favorite baby names? Aside from your own babies, if you have some :)
Girls: Abigail, Madelyn  Boys: Bridger.
Honestly, I've thought & thought about names for our future children. These are the only 3 I can think of.
We of course used Abigail. And lately it seems like maybe we will only have 3 kids. I don't know how to explain that feeling, it's just what it seems like.

2. Show me your "dream" nursery {can be your baby's nursery or one that you love}
Would love a simple toddler room like this for A. Simple & bright.

3. How many children would you like to have? How far apart?
At first we wanted 4 kids, but with TTC again and after how long it took us with A, we're starting to think that maybe 3 is more realistic. Possibly only even 2. Two years apart would have been nice, but under 3 would be great.

4. Tell us what you think the importance of parenting is?
I think all of it is super important. I think that all we can do is try and continue to learn. I helped raise my nephew from the time he was brand new, and he is completely different than A. A has quite the attitude. And a wild personality. We just keep trying different things to see what helps with discipline & rules.

5. Show us your favorite newborn photo {can be your children or random}

6.  Tell us some things you promise to never do as a parent {and if you are a parent, did you stick to it}

Let A watch TV. Honestly, it's the only way I can seem to get anything done, sometimes a 30 minute show is just enough for me to get ready or to clean the house.

Let A throw fits in the store. She is only 18 months & so far we've only had 1 time. She was tired and just got shots, so taking her out probably wasn't the best idea, but other than that no fits in the store.

Blog Questions.

Sunday Social

This Weeks Questions:

1. What is the name of your blog and how did you come up with it??
Mommy Summers. Pretty simple, I'm a mom & my last name is Summers.

2. What do you love the most about blogging??
The support you get from people. I really feel like I'm building that support group I need. (Outside my own family). I also love that feeling of giving support to others.

3. What are your 2 favorite posts you've written?

You are Perfect.
Chocolate Cream Cheese Cupcakes. (Because I had to make them like 3 times that week because everyone wanted some & I love them!)

4. What is something you'd want to tell someone just starting out in blog world?
Be true to who you are. Sometimes I feel like I have to write a certain way. Watch what I say and such. Also, it takes time. You don't just get 100's of followers over night, you need to get out there and put the work in.

5. Biggest blogging learning experience you've had?
Like I said above, be true to who you are. My blog started out as a TTC blog. I needed an outlet, and then my blog started growing after I was pregnant & had A. As is started growing I wasn't sure if people wanted to hear about TTC stuff anymore. I started to feel like my blog that was my outlet wasn't like that anymore. I decided to post some stuff anyway, things that I needed help with, advice about, and you know what? I got tons of support. I didn't lose followers. I made new friends. Met more people who had or are going through what I have/am going through. Seriously. Be true to who you are.

6. Give us 3 blogs we NEED to be following that you love.

TTC #2.

As I sit here and write this, we are at the end of Cycle #6.

Another failed cycle.

Should I be surprised? Probably not. It did take 18 months (3 of Met.formin) to get pregnant the first time. At my year check up in April, I had just stopped taking BC, and was about half way through my cycle. My doctor was so sure that he would see me in a couple months. Well guess what Doc, nope. It's been 5 months since I've seen you & nothing.

I don't know if calling my Doctor would be stupid.
I don't want to be waiting  6 more months then having to figure stuff out.

See the thing is. I don't know where I stand this time around.
See last time I got blood work done they sent me to a RE who said
it could be PCOS & to try Met for 3 months then we'd go from there.

Well my insurance changed & I got pregnant.
So I never went back. I got my new current OB/GYN.

I just don't know. Being in the dark about all of this is frustrating.
Some people say their bodies figured things out after pregnancy & didn't have problems with PCOS after.

My cycles are still regular. But I can't keep my face clear.
Seriously. My face is constantly breaking out.
Hair. Gosh. I don't even want to talk about it.
Weight. I gained back 5lbs after I stopped nursing.
I can't get it to budge.

I don't know what to do.
I don't want to call & be turned down.
But I don't want to miss the opportunity to be seen.

I just don't know where I stand. What I should say, when I call.
This is all so much.

Coffee, Cheating & Yellowstone

Its Ok Thursdays

It's okay that:

I'm pretty upset that we don't have sugar for my coffee this morning.

I was super pissed at my husband the other day because I had a DREAM he cheated on me. (He should know how to control himself in my dreams right?!)

I'm excited to be going to Yellowstone this month! Even if it is just a quick Fri-Sun trip!

I only have 1 item in my Shop. I'm pretty sure it's a great Fall accessory!

I mentioned my shop in this post! ha!

I have some more personal posts scheduled for this month, & I'm excited/terrified!

A has a late night snack before she heads to bed, she always wants an Otter Pop right before she lays down, or cheese.

Have a wonderful Thursday everyone! Can't wait to see your posts!
