Cabbage. Blogilates. Iron.

Like.
We had boiled cabbage in place of spaghetti noodles last night. Yum. I have so much fun finding new noodle substitutes.Heck I've been having so much fun just finding healthier recipes for my family to try. It's nice feeling like I'm taking care of my family even just a little better. What are your favorite clean eating recipes?

Love.
22 Days ago I wrote a blog post about Motivation. If you didn't get the chance to read it I wrote about how hard it was to find the motivation I wanted to work out. Well guess what since that post I've worked out every day, some days I was able to double up on the work outs. (I'm following the Blogilates Beginner's Calendar.) It's been amazing. Have there been some days where I'm like uhh... let's not do this? Sure! And you know what, I actually got through it. I'm not sure what's different this time, but I'm glad something changed!  I've absolutely LOVED this change I've found in myself.

Loathe.
Iron supplement drops. Miss M has been taking them twice a day for a week, and it's been bittersweet. It's a pain to get in, finally figured out she'll take them with yogurt and only yogurt, thank goodness she needs the dairy/protein. They taste horrible, they make her stomach crazy but they're also helping her. I'm sure in a couple weeks I'll love them, but right now they're causing problems.

I must try some of these noodle replacement recipes! I hate to cook, but making healthy meals for my little one has been my motivation lately.

Working out has been taking a backseat ~ definitely going to check out blogilates! Sounds right up my ally.

My little guy has been on iron supplements, too. It does some really awful things to his poop! I think mixing yogurt with his baby cereal is what first got us into trouble. It was the only way he would eat it, but we learned at his 9 month check up (when his tests first showed his iron was low), that daily actually blocks some absorption of iron. Boo! I know, it was awful. I wonder if a non-dairy yogurt would work, too?
