4- 6 Months Old!

Boy have I fallen behind on getting Miss M's Updates posted. I mean she is going to be one this week! Got some catching up to do, good thing I started little posts for her already just gotta fill them in with a few more things, like weight & pictures and we're good to go!

Sheesh! Can you believe this little girl is 4 months old already!?

She is in 3-6 month clothing, sometimes 6 months.
She still wears size 1 diapers.
She weighs 15 lbs 1.5 oz (65%)
She is 24.8 in tall. (24.8%)
Her head measures 16.5" (81%)

She loves to sit up, with help of course. She started finding her toes.
She loves to sing and is very talkative. She's had a rough time with her stomach
so some nights are that great but, she usually goes about 6 hours sometimes 8 between night time feedings. She loves her cousin. Lately her Godmother will take her after lunch and wrap her up in her baby blanket and get her to sleep within seconds of being wrapped up. She sure does love her auntie.
At her month appointment we decided that cutting out dairy was something we needed to do. Something had to change, her stomach was horrible and she wasn't sleeping for very long at night.

FIVE.

Sits up by herself! Just sit her up to play and she's good!
Celebrated her first Christmas!
Wears 9 month clothes!
Stomach is doing much better thanks to cutting out TONS of dairy from our diet!

SIX.

Seriously. This sweet girl is growing with every blink.
Food: Loves: Apples, bananas, blueberries.  Dislike: Veggies.

6 Months this sweet baby was crawling! Can you believe it?! It was closer to being 7 months old but still, crawling.

At her appointment
17 lbs 7oz (70%)
26.25" tall (61%)
Head measures in at 17.5" (94%)

Still LOVING food.

Carpet Stains.

Ever just sit down and think, "well that should be a good blog post". Well today I had that moment, so down I sat in this comfy chair while I try and get all of my words out. My fingers can't seem to move fast enough. As I take a quick glance around I notice something. Something that causes me to cringe. My carpet.

Eek. It is nasty. Between having two one year olds, and a three year old here, and our yard being under construction, my carpet is taking a beating. It wasn't that great of carpet to begin with, but until we have the yard done and any painting that we want to do out of the way, we won't be purchasing new carpet. While I sit and dream of nice new carpet, and a finished yard, I also find myself finding new ways to keep my carpet clean.

I've browsed Pinterest, bought a carpet cleaner, and contemplated using a company like www.thesteamteam.com. I am so very lucky if I can keep my carpet clean for more than a week, but most often, I find myself cleaning carpets at least once a week. Do you have any tips for keeping your carpet clean? We have an older creamy white colored carpet. It's horrible to keep clean and I can't wait to get rid or it!

This post is brought to you from your friends at The Steam Team.

Matter & Mind.

This. Those that have been around long enough know that my relationship with my in-laws hasn't been all that peachy. It's been rough to say the least. At one point through all the drama we sat down and agreed to just drop the past and move on. That moment was 3 years ago. I've gone half way and continue to wait for them to do their part. For the first almost year I had hope that things would be better, then the last two years I started to heavily blame myself. Things have been eating at me. Have I not changed? Am I not a good person? What can I do? What have I done? I knew I had so much hate in my heart towards them, and with each day that passed I wasn't sure if it was growing or shrinking.

I picked up a book from the library that had a chapter about Forgiveness and Mercy, and thought it would help me better myself, help me change. Just with hope that it would make things better. The book did the opposite of what I thought it would. I thought it would show me my wrongs and show me how to move on. It in the end helped me realize that I am where I need to be. I am constantly try to grow and change. I have opened my heart to the idea of a great relationship with them, all I can do now is sit and wait. So what does that saying have to do with anything?

I feel like I can't open up to them. I feel like there is this person trapped inside while I'm around them. I'm always careful of what I say and most of the time don't say too much if anything for fear of their opinions. Every time I see this saying I just wish I could be me all of the time, and not feel that need of approval from anyone.  How can you have a good true relationship if you can't be yourself?

Have you ever been in this type of situation, where you just can't be you? How did you deal with it?

Like, Love Loathe- June 24

Like: Lately I'm really liking turning off the TV and reading a good book, though I seem to reread pages multiple times because of the sweet babies I have wandering my house. I really am liking finding my love for reading again. Currently, I'm reading An Abundance of Katherines By John Green. Loving it so far. It's a little out of what I normally read so it's great to find something new. Any books you recommend? Are you on Goodreads

Love: The warmer yet still pleasant weather lately & that my girls LOVE to be outside.

Loathe: My baby, isn't so much a baby anymore. She's walking, and communicating really well and she'll be 1 next week! Ah, time is flying and I'm enjoying every minute of it!

Hot Yoga Towel Review

Believe it or not, I love to do yoga and pilates. I'm not the most flexible and my poses are very rough but it's easy on my old lady hips and I love it. One thing that has been hard for me, (besides some of the crazy poses) is the fact that my feet slip on my mat. I don't dare go too deep in a pose for fear of falling or slipping too far forward.Well thankfully Shandali thought of this with their Hot Yoga Towel.

Towel Info:

Microfiber
Super Absorbent & Quick-drying
Anti-slip,
Mat sized (24" x 72")

My Thoughts:
Eek! Vacuum cord, running puppy and some candy made it into this picture.

Loved it! Not only did this towel cover my yoga mat perfectly, it was soft (and not irritating) I didn't slip. I feel like I was able to hold my poses better, ones that specifically had more weight towards one direction and wasn't worried about sweaty feet making my slip. I was able to throw it in the wash after a couple uses, and it was easy and still looks great. Definitely recommend this product!

Pure Dead Sea Mud Mask Review

As a mom I've come to accept a few things: I will never be alone unless by some miracle my husband can distract our two girls for more than 10 seconds, little hands will always be on touching my face (making it that much more susceptible to breaking out), when I finally get my alone time I want to use it well and lately I want it to be used for relaxing. One thing I've turned to in the past couple years to help me enjoy some alone time are face masks. I love to grab a few at the store and try them out when I get a chance.

When I got the chance to try the Pure Dead Sea Mud Facial Mask I was thrilled! I had heard about Dead Sea face mask on the TV before, and really wanted to try one! Here's a little of what Pure says about this particular facial mask:

" Dead Sea Mud contains more than 21 skin-reviving minerals including magnesium, calcium, sulfur, bromide, iodine, sodium, zinc and potassium. These essential minerals are present in our bodies, but are lost as we get older. These minerals are known to treat, detoxify, and cleanse our skin, to keep it looking young and refreshed"

Their facial mask  contains "100% pure, natural and certified organic ingredients" this means it is free of "sulfates, phosphates and parabens. cruelty free, vegan certified." All of that sounds great doesn't it?! I couldn't wait to give it a try, so one night when my girls were distracted I snuck away to my bathroom with my sister and her friend (all three of us with very different skin types) and we tried it out!

Before I give you our thoughts on this Mud Mask take a look at the benefits they say this mask has:

"Anti-aging properties tighten pores promoting young, healthy natural skin. Rich Dead Sea minerals clean, heal, soften and revitalize your skin for an all-day glow. Organic essential oils moisturize and hydrate your skin, helping to reduce wrinkles."

Okay we loved this mask. I continue to do this mask weekly, and am constantly being questioned by my sister & her friend about when we will get to do it again. The first time we put this mask on it got warm, like a deep down in your pores, is it burning to you, will my face be red or will my skin fall of type warm. We were concerned, after a minute there was this big relief, a big cooling relief. After washing it off, no one had red irritated skin, our skin didn't feel dry and crave lotion, we all agreed our skin felt great.

Only positives on this face mask! It came quickly after I ordered it, came packaged great, it wasn't a disaster to open. It was great to wear, made our skin look and feel great. Just great, great, great! Have you tried this mask out before? If not, are there any other great face masks that you recommend?

Alphabet Jumbled Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

As a mom there are so so many things that I worry about for my daughter. As she's turned three and we've started talking Pre-School this fall, or even just a simple fun dance/play class to keep her entertained and get a foot into the class setting. Whatever my husband and I decide, we have both agreed that we need to make sure she's constantly learning new things at home. One big thing on our list is to make sure she knows both her uppercase and lowercase ABC's.

We do flashcards and we write on our chalkboard top table, but I knew there was more we could do. I was thrilled when I got the opportunity to review the Alphabet Jumbled App. Here's a little of what this app does and how it will help your child learn!

We provide 5 fun steps in Alphabet Jumbled to learn your A B C!
▶ KNOW YOUR A B C - Recognize the 26 letters
▶ FLASH CARDS - Familiarize with the ABCs
▶ EASY JUMBLE - Start un-jumbling 5 letters jumbles
▶ JUMBLE A-Z - Arrange the alphabets in the correct order in the shortest time possible!
▶ JUMBLE CHALLENGE - Can you un-jumbled all the letters under a minute?
Our advice: Practice your jumbles before heading here! "

Obviously some of these pieces were a little too hard for Miss A to do alone(Anything with Jumble in it), but she still had fun with some help. We've really enjoyed using this app and watching Miss A be excited to look at her ABC's on "my black iPad". This app has been a great help with reinforcing what she's being taught throughout the day. It's always great to find a good app that is helping children learn something in a new way. Miss A & I would definitely recommend this app to anyone that is looking for a fun learning app for their kids.
