April- Guy Behind The Blog.

Time for my sweetheart to answer some more questions! Yes I failed and totally missed the link-up but hey, here's the post!

1 // Has Starbucks ever spelled your name wrong on a cup? If yes, what's the craziest way that someone has spelled it?
This man does not like Starbucks. He's crazy. His name isn't spelled wrong too often at all. I wish I had the same deal.

2 // Who would play your wife/fiance/girlfriend in a movie or TV show about your lives?

He won't answer. He doesn't know and doesn't care. (Wonderful.)

3 // What is your proudest accomplishment?
Kids.

4 // What is your favorite holiday and why?
Thanksgiving- food!

5 // What is your favorite breed of dog?  If you don't have a favorite breed, describe the characteristics of your ideal dog (or cat)!
Boxer.

Monday Check-In.

Today is such a beautiful day. I wish there was a time this evening to go out and enjoy it but today is also a busy one. It seems like lately our days have been busier and busier. It's bittersweet. With all that is going on I feel like I need to do a little check in.

Today was Day 14 of 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene. I am finally feeling like I'm seeing some progress with my strength and my ability to push through the poses taking them further than I typically done. I think the fact that there isn't cardio and the videos are different every day makes it much easier for me to keep up with.

Today was also Day 1 of no soda/energy drinks. Which isn't going to be too big of a deal, I have cut soda down to maybe once a week and energy drinks have just been on the weekend, but I'm ready to be past it. Eventually I'll cut out caffeine completely. I have to.

This week is National Infertility Awareness Week. (NIAW). I joined a event on Facebook and posted a photo of my sweet babies to the group and realized moments later that my friends would be able to see. Instead of quickly deleting the post and pretending it never happened, I've spent the day letting people in. Letting my friends know what we've been through on our journey to growing our family. The support I've felt the last 4 hours has been amazing. (More on this in a later post.)

I'm working on several posts and hope to get more caught up with you soon! I feel like I spend more time commenting than I do writing actual posts of my own. What is going on in your week so far?

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Friday Five.

One. Lately I've been making sure my girls & I have time to just sit down and enjoy my time with my girls. Earlier this week we just sat down with Popsicles and watched 101 Dalmations. It was wonderful.

Two.  My sweet 4 year old has been asking to help make dinner lately. She's made meatballs & tacos so far. It's so much fun having her in the kitchen & reminds me of all the time I spent (and still spend) in the kitchen with my mom.

Three.  We got our family pictures taken last Saturday! I picked our final 15 and cannot wait to get them back all edited!

Four. We spend lots of time on the floor playing with dolls. It's so much fun watching and listening to my girls play together. They are the best of friends.

Five.  This was posted on Instagram this week and boy did it hit home that day.

Thanksgiving Point.

About a month ago we headed down to Thanksgiving Point to hit up the Museums. It was one of those trips where you mean to take pictures but only get a few, and those few maybe aren't the best, but it doesn't matter because, it was wonderful.

First we headed to the Museum of Natural Curiosity. If you haven't been here before, check out the pictures. I didn't get more than a few here and there was A TON to do. The best part was heading outside to the playground while we waited to meet some goats & rabbits. Both of my girls LOVED petting the rabbits.

My husband and brother made sure they got in on the action at the playground. The zip line was awesome! My sister-in-law and I did it too. Abigail was the first one to jump on and give it a try. She's always so brave and willing to try new things.

After lunch we headed to the Museum of Ancient Life. I was worried that my girls wouldn't care to see the dinosaurs. I was terrified when I was younger & they had them at the zoo. Madilynn absolutely LOVED the dinosaurs and couldn't help but squeal every time we moved into a new room!

Our last stop was Farm Country. Madilynn was asleep by the time we walked over, but we had Abigail had a great time looking at all the animals and was even brave enough to feed a goat! We took a short little wagon ride around the farm and headed home.

I think we had a pretty great time. I feel like if my girls were even just a year or so older they would have enjoyed it more. I can't wait to see what our trip there next year brings. Hopefully we head down for the Tulip Festival.

Microblog: Love

"People don't like love, they like that flittery flirty feeling. They don't love love- love is sacrificial, love is ferocious, it's not emotive. Our culture doesn't love love, it loves the idea of love. It wants the emotion without paying anything for it." - Matt Chandler

3 Places You Probably Don't Vacuum.

Finally starting to get to my spring cleaning and wondered if there were some places that I vacuum that you don't. Maybe you already do these & I've been lost somewhere not knowing that this is what people do!

1. Bathroom Fans. - While pregnant with my oldest I spent lots of time dealing with morning sickness. One of these bittersweet moments spent in the bathroom, brought me to look up at the ceiling. That's when I noticed. The fan. Why in the heck hadn't I vacuumed it? It collects dust like crazy!

2. Floor Vents. - Open them up. Seriously, my children and their cousins are known to drop stuff (food) down into them. I never thought about vacuuming them out until I realized how much crap was actually falling down into them, and not necessarily on purpose.

3. Under drawers.- The ones in your vanity. When I want a real deep clean I'll vacuum every single drawer and every single cabinet out before wiping them down. I realized that under the bottom drawer needed to be vacuumed out when something got stuck then fell down under it. It was a mess of dust and hair.

Where do you vacuum that maybe others don't?

Microblog Monday.

"People who love to eat, are always the best people." Julia Child.

Me. Seriously. I love to eat. I could possibly be pretty awesome too.
We've been trying to do clean eating more often. It's been fun but I feel like it's getting boring, I'm running out of recipes.

Do you have any to share? A Pinterest board I can follow?
