In-law Drama & Babies.

I'm not sure what makes my in-laws do the things they do. I am however very tired of the way they question every decision I make.

For example, the fact that I didn't want any visitors while I was in labor with Miss A, my mom and baby sister took me to the hospital and waited till my husband showed up then left to pick up around my house & love my dog. My younger sister stopped by with food for the husband that night, weren't there for more than 5 minutes total.

Or that I didn't want kids or very many visitors in the hospital after I had her. I didn't need a crowded room while I was relaxing and enjoying my first hours as a mom. (If you like to do that, that's fine I'm not judging, its just not what I wanted to have happen.)

Every time they threw a fit. Complaining, saying it was weird. Like when they got mad because I was tired of people showing up whenever with whoever they wanted after I got home and said something about it. My house, my baby, my rules.

The newest thing is the fact that I'm having my girls share a room. I just finished putting the toddler bed back into the nursery & setting up the new crib. They fit perfect in that room together. I grew up always sharing a room, I loved it. Once I was older I got my own room, just when I started feeling like I needed my own space. And again, my house, my girls, my rules.

Every one parents different. My husband and I have agreed on a certain way that makes us all comfortable and happy. It's worked for us for over 2 years now. My sisters and their boyfriends choose to parent different than us, as do my brother, his fiance and his son's mom. They do what works for them. I might not agree with their styles, but they know their kids and I'm gonna keep my mouth shut, it's not my place

Having our new addition joining us so soon really has me on edge. I'm not ready for any drama with my in-laws. They're just going to need to accept that I do things different than them. I don't want an audience at the birth of Miss M, Miss A will be with my family, we'll only have a few visitors at the actual hospital and then people can schedule a time to visit at home after. It's really that simple.

I don't know what to do. I'm starting to stress out about what they're going to do. I don't need my brother in law telling me that I need medication, because I like things a certain way. (Still can't believe he said that, I should have strangled him.)

But really friends, what do you do?

20 Months.

Watching the number of months go up as I write these posts, have got me thinking a couple things.
1. That its probably time to stop doing monthly updates and, 2. That my baby isn't a baby anymore.

Here is Miss A at 20 months.

Sunday Social: 11/11

Sunday Social

Favorite Thanksgiving Memory
Growing up I lived in California, everyone in our extended family lived in Utah. For the 14 years we lived there 13 of them we packed our stuff the Thursday before and headed to Utah Friday after school. I didn't know my cousins or grandparent's, didn't feel comfortable with them, but it all changed when Thanksgiving came around, you felt like part of the family it was such an awesome feeling.

Favorite Thanksgiving Food
I just don't know! Everything just goes together so well! Last year and this year my family has added a ham to our meal (which I'm in charge of making). Love it!

What is a Thanksgiving Tradition you and your family have?
I'm sure most families do this, but we always play games  and watch movies together.

Show us a favorite Thanksgiving picture(or 5) from years past
The first Thanksgiving we celebrated as a family of 3!

What are you most looking forward to about this Thanksgiving?
All the food, ha! Spending more time with my siblings that are here in Utah. We get together quite often but a lot of the time one of us is missing, so excited for us ALL to be there.

Diapers, Netflix & Hair Color

So glad it's Thursday!!!

Its Ok Thursdays

It's okay:

That A insists on sleeping in only a diaper. Last night she woke up at 1 trying to get her pajamas off. Complaining that it was hot. As soon as she's out of pj's she's back asleep.

That I sat and watched 4 episodes of Pretty Little Liars yesterday!

That I'm addicted to Netflix & reading lately, meaning my blog is a little neglected.

That I'm ready to color my hair, when I just colored it about 2 weeks ago and had just got highlights a few weeks before that.

That I want to spend as much time in yoga pants & leggings as I can this Fall.

That I can't seem to keep up with laundry at my house, just as I get caught up it piles up again.

TTC #2 Update.

I feel like we're officially more than before, back into the TTC game. We've been trying for 6 Cycles now. I go by cycles. Easier for me to remember for whatever reason.

So last week I wrote this post.
I got a lot of comments encouraging me just to call and ask some questions. That's what I did Monday morning.

I called. I told the nurse what was going on & she said come in tomorrow morning for a consult with the Doc. Well that's what I did.

It wasn't at all what I was expecting. I was expecting a, "We don't usually see patients until it's been a year".

I should have known by that call that the whole appointment wasn't going to be what I expected.

I was so nervous, for whatever reason. (I'm sure some of you will understand)
I even heard the nurses talking outside the door, almost sounded like they were making fun of me. Just something about the tone of their voices that nearly made me cry.

When my doctor came in, he was very straight forward & very clear with his plan. (so nice)
He asked about my previous Dr. visits (pre-pregnancy with A.)
Said that he wanted to start with Clomid.

He just took out a card & started writing, telling me that he had a plan.

Day 1: Start
Day 3-9: Clomid
Day 10-17: Try
Day 24: Appt (Oct 2)
Day 30: Pg Test

It was really that simple.
It worked out perfect, I went in on Cycle Day 3, perfect time for blood work,
perfect time to start Clomid.

On Thursday his office called to let me know that my blood work came back normal.

So now I sit here Day 10 writing this. Listening to giggles & watching my hubs chase my little climber around. We have a plan. It's a new plan.
I have my doctor on my side.

This cycle things are already different. I've stopped drinking caffeine and I've also gotten very good at remembering to take my Prenatal, Iron & Folic Acid.

I don't know if it'll work out this cycle.
All I know is, we have a plan.
It will work out when it's supposed to.

Showers, Diet Coke & Pizza

Its Ok ThursdaysIt's Okay

That today had the earliest time I've showered in probably months, & that early time was 8:40.

That I automatically thought "I need a Diet Coke", when I woke up with a headache.

That I'm finally getting around to my Fall wreath today, that I've had sitting around for a couple weeks.

That I know the theme song to The Backyardigans.

That I've had pizza twice this week already & am planning on having it again tomorrow.

So glad it's Thursday. I'm ready for the weekend. I'm starting to do some fall shopping for A, & I love it! It's so hard to find her clothes that fit her right though, she's tall but super skinny 18 month clothes are saggy but short on her. Oh well, gives us more time to shop together!

Oh & a quick hello to all my new followers!

Online Shopping.

I've seen A LOT of people talking about Zulily & I've noticed quite a few of their banners around the web,

Honestly I didn't really know what it was, I mean yeah I assumed it was clothing for children, but didn't know much else about it.

First things first & if you've been there you already know this, you have to sign up, don't worry though it was something simple like email address, password & name.

Then I started wandering around their website, I found out it's a daily deal thing.

(On their about page it says that deals last 72 hours, so pretty much I'm guessing you have only a short time to decide what you want then its gone! That part is kinda sad, because I like to think about things & then really think about them & then talk to hubs about them & think about them some more before I actually buy it, ha. It's a long painful process but it's what I do!

The awesome part about it for me though, is they let ya in on what the upcoming events are! You can set up a reminder and such.)

Oh & it gets even better, it's not just for kids. I looked around at stuff for me, for my house, they have maternity things, goodness I could spend SO much money here.

I spent some time, A LOT of time looking at stuff for A, because you know it's much more fun to dress her. Anything looks good on her.

I'm in love.

Aren't those so freakin' adorable!? I think A needs those with a cute skirt or a summer dress. Either way I think her little diaper bum would be super cute in it.

Or this dress?! Ah! I really think A needs this! We'll see if I can talk the hubs into it before this deal ends.

Why didn't anyone tell me that I should check it out sooner?! Blog friends, what happened to you?!  If you haven't checked it out, you should.

**I'm being paid if you sign up for their site from one of the links on my blog, but all the opinions are my own. I do think this site is awesome & definitely wouldn't recommend to you it if I didn't!**

16 Months

Miss Abigail,

You are 16 months today (July 5) You are growing into such a fun, energetic little girl.

You're in size 18 months clothes, size 3 & some size 4 shoes. You still wear size 3 diapers.

You wear your hair in a full pony tail now.
You're still sporting the "Abigail Mullet" though.
We love it.

I'm not ready to cut your hair yet, it still looks pretty when it's all done, just when it's down, it's starting to look pretty crazy.

You're starting to color everywhere, walls included. Nothing is safe, ha!

Here are some pictures of you from the last month.

Oh & one last thing, don't forget about this giveaway!

A Complete Waste of Makeup

15 Day Challenge: Day #9

[Day 9]: Tell us the best day of your life to date.

March 5, 2011.

The day my sweet baby girl was born.
For those that have been around my blog for a while or those that have wandered through it, you'll know that it took us some time to get pregnant & that my pregnancy wasn't very easy going.
So the day that Abigail came, my heart was mended. All the hurt that came with waiting for her, and the anxiety of trying to keep her in & growing was pushed back.
Abigail made us a family.

Citiville, Word Verification & Other Stuff

Its Ok ThursdaysSometimes I play CityVille on Facebook, because A is asleep
& I don't know what else to do.

Sometimes I don't get comments on posts that I don't link up to things.

Sometimes I don't comment on someone's post because of the darn word verification crap.

Sometimes I'll try and comment & give up 3 tries in.

I spent A LOT of time on PicMonkey this week. I'm addicted.

I gave up  Day #2 of not drinking soda because Hubs was
working late and A & I needed out of the house.

AND YOU KNOW WHAT!?
                 It's ALL okay!

Today I am thankful for a FIL who can come over after a long day at work and find out why I have a leak in the ceiling of my basement.

A brother who offered to come help even though, he can't drive & only has one hand that can be used.

ThankfulThursday
A husband who works hard so that I can stay at home with my baby girl.

Great blog friends & new followers

It's Okay!

Its Ok Thursdays

It's Okay:

A is eating chocolate chips at 8:30 this morning, she did eat yogurt first.

A is watching Curious George so I can get some blogging in real fast.

That A watches shows for about an hour in the morning so I can blog & get ready.

That I like my coffee sweet.

That the next couple weeks will be full of scheduled posts & link-ups because my sister is in town with her daughter & I want to spend as much time as I can with them!

That this is my second post today, because I wanted a special one for the start of ICLW.

That my blog looks a little crazy.

That it looks crazy because I'm slowly figuring out how to design it on my own.

That I'm designing it by myself because I'm too cheap to pay someone to do it, especially since I like to change my blog up ALL the time.

That this list got A LOT longer than I thought it would!

ICLW.

First off, Welcome ICLW'ers!

So excited to find some new blogs & hopefully find some new friends!
For those of you that don't know what ICLW is, check out the button on the right side of my blog!
Also while you're there, check out the GFC Blog Hop

I'm super excited with blogging right now! I finally feel like I can do what I want. This blog originally started when I was TTC #1.

Miss A

Who is now 15 months & is looking forward to eventually having siblings.
Out of habit I describe my blog as "mom after pcos".

Well I am. I don't know if after is the right phrase. I really don't know much about the whole thing anymore really. I got pregnant a few months after starting Met.formin. I never made it back to the RE because our insurance changed & I was pregnant. I don't know how this is going to affect us with TTC #2.

We stopped BC in April. I say "we" because hubs agreed it was time to start trying. It has now been 3 cycles since then. I'm currently CD 4, and wonder what this month will bring. This is my first cycle since stopping nursing A 2 weeks ago, it was only 3-6 days late. I say 3-6 because for a while I had 25 day cycles & then a 28 day. So yeah.

I've read many comments on chat rooms about "being careful after weaning because you're really fertile", as in their husbands looked at them and they became pregnant.

So this is just a little update about TTC #2. I don't post about it much, if at all anymore, because I don't know how most of my readers would feel. Though I am thinking about making a TTC #2 page & updating there, for those that are interested.

I'm trying to post about a wide variety of things. There is so much more to me than just being a mom & TTC. I really hope you stick around and get to know me better.

Can't wait to "meet" you!

Leash.

Okay let's not use the word leash. It sounds like something for an animal. I'm going to say animal backpack with a long tail. What am I talking about?!

I used to see people walking their kids, like animals. I would always say, "That WILL NOT be me". Well guess what....

Yup, that's C, walking A around with a animal backpack, with a long tail. Ladies, I need it. Since A started walking she wants to walk everywhere, ALL the time. I worry about her, so I found a couple super cute backpacks for her, that just happen to have a tail that I can hold onto! I love it.

A loves them. C loves them. He loves to walk A around the store. It helps me feel more at ease, knowing that if I sneeze for a second, that A won't disappear randomly, she'll be connected to me. My little adventurer. She needs it.

I don't know if you are like me and say they are awful and such, well they work. Don't judge them till you are in that situation and need them. I need them. They help me keep A safe and close by, and let her feel independent like C. It's a win win situation.
