tl;dr : October First!

Welcome October. Seriously, I'm loving the cooler weather, even though it's freezing when I wake up. Fun things are constantly happening here and it's terribly hard to keep up with posting about it. Let's do a little Too Long- Didn't Read (or in my case write).

Preschool is going great still, today was our very first lesson at our house. Miss A was so thrilled!

Miss A started dance class a couple weeks ago, we're looking forward to signing her up for tumbling!

trying on skirts for dance!
Miss M is officially off iron drops and is sleep tons better at night, some nights she actually sleeps through the night!

We headed to the zoo again, and this time the new African Savanna exhibit was open, it was amazing.

We fell in love with this Apple Pie Caramel Apple recipe.

We could use some prayers right now, Miss A is having some interesting health thing going on right now and while we wait to figure out what it is, prayers would be great!

What have you been up to lately?

Relationship Status: { Married }

I love writing about my family and I have this wonderful man to enjoy my family with.

I just recently wrote a post about our 6 Years of Marriage. I packed it full of pictures and what we've learned over the last 6 years, so today I wanted to share some things you might not know about us.

We met online. Myspace. We met almost 11 months later, at a Barnes & Noble.

Our first date, we saw Awake and I stole a goodnight hug in a light flurry of snowflakes.

Every year we try and pick up a movie for our anniversary. It's sort of our thing.

We were married exactly 8 months after he asked me to be his girlfriend.

We went through the LDS Salt Lake City Temple on our 3rd Wedding anniversary, to be sealed as a family. We had the amazing experience of bringing Miss A, (5 months old) with us.

We tell each other everything. He's my best friend, literally. If I need to gossip or just vent and my sister is busy, I find him. He's learned to just listen and not react unless asked to. It's perfect.

Oh, Hey Friday!

With the stomach bug running through our house, our 6 year anniversary and then a cold & teething finding it's way back through the last couple weeks have been crazy! Here's some of the fun things we have been up to!

We went out. Without the girls, first time ever.

My baby got signed up for dance & is officially potty trained!!

We also joined a Joy School in our Neighborhood so she starts preschool on Wednesday! I've been busy getting the music time box together!

We figured out ANOTHER way to get this girl her iron.

We found a yummy new cookie recipe! Nutella Pudding Cookies!
Something so simple that my husband even offers to make them!

Linking up with this wonderful bloggers today!

My Very First: TL;DR

All I have to say is this link-up was made for me. Seriously. Check out what it's all about here.

  • My baby girl is turning 1 on Thursday! Making me kind of baby hungry... eek!
  • We are trying to be cleaner eaters. Gotta start somewhere!
  • We are working on a big house To-Do list. So we can get new carpet.
  • I am painting and redecorating our bedroom! Super excited!!!!!
  • I'm back at reading a ton of books again! Send me suggestions, or Goodreads profile links!
  • Been teaching nursery for a year at church & love it! Looking for fun ideas for the kids!
  • I'm trying to workout again. Main word, trying.

That's pretty much about it for us! If you could give me a quick update in your life what would it be like?

Finish This #2

I feel an adrenaline rush when … I hear a noise that's not quite right in the middle of the night. Just ask my husband how many times he's had to wander the house checking to make sure everything is okay.

I feel energized when … I actually get to have more than 2 hour chunks of sleep at night.

I feel small when … I'm around my in-laws. I feel like I just disappear into the room. I spend most of the time sitting in silence, waiting for a chance to say something, waiting for someone to talk to me.

I feel big when … I call up some place to take care of something. Ha, I'm not much of a " I'll call and get that all figured out " type person.

I feel indestructible when … I learn something new and actually get it. Like I'm sure I'll feel indestructible after I finish up my Skills Test this weekend for CPR & First Aid, if I pass of course ha.

I feel stupid when … I have to ask 4 times what the other person said. Ha.

I feel smart when … I can listen to my husband talk about work stuff and actually understand all of it enough to explain it better to someone else!

Sunday Social
Questions:
1. Who do you call when you need to vent? Vegas. Well my little sister that lives in Vegas, but I think we'll just call her Vegas on here.

2. Where do you go when you need alone time? My room.

3. What is your favorite alone time activity? Yoga, hot bath, a movie alone. Anything is nice.

4. What is something we should all stop and read right now? My blog? Ha. Umm I just finished up The Fault in Our Stars - John Green, and I LOVED it.

5. Who do you wish would read your blog that doesn’t already? Family? Celeb? Anyone really, I feel like the time & effort I put into making sure I comment on other's blogs and give decent comments just don't come back to me. Maybe someday right?

Happy Sunday!

Let's Make a List.

10 THINGS MY HUSBAND WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND

1. What it's like to crave some alone time.
I love my girls but a shower alone once in a while would be nice!

2. The way a new cut & color can make you feel like a star.
But what guy really can? I'm sure there are very few.

3. How hard meal planning/grocery shopping can be.
It doesn't just happen, it takes a lot.

4. Why I won't go in somewhere looking the way I do some days.
Seriously some days, WalMart isn't an option & I've seen some crazy stuff there.

5. How I can be so calm during labor.

6. That at one point during they day the house was clean.

7. How two little girls can have so much attitude.
    It's just beginning though.

8. The joy of finding the perfect bra.

9. Why I am better at shopping for him than he is.

10. My love of chocolate and a nice TV drama.

My First Happies & Crappies.

The Vintage Modern Wife: Happies and Crappies Link Up

Happies

Miss M, is finally, finally sleeping well at night. The stretches are getting longer and longer.

My computer is FINALLY set up.

I got 2 blog posts up this week! Look at me go!

Even with feeling a little blah and eating junk this week I've managed to maintain my weight!

It's Friday, I feel like I'm days behind so knowing its Friday is amazing!

Crappies

The dog has been waking up in the middle of the night, often. Only on nights when Miss M is finally sleeping well.

I'm exhausted from lack of sleep and having so much to do!

It's cold & foggy here. Ick.

What are your happies & crappies this week? Can't wait to stop by!!! This is my first time ever linking up for this link up! Super excited to get back into the game!

Oh the Weekend.

With the weekend fast approaching and my computer FINALLY set up again. It is most definitely time for a blog post and what better way to start blogging than by doing one of my very favorite link ups. Perfect topic by the way.

10 THINGS TO DO DURING THE WEEKEND

1. Big Breakfast. I don't know why but it seems like the weekends are the only time I'm interested in a big breakfast so we do just that every Saturday and Sunday morning. Pancakes or French toast. Eggs. Bacon. Sometimes a potato, egg, sausage scramble. Yum!

2. Shop. The girls and I tend to head out with my mom on Saturdays and shop. We mostly window shop but we love it!

3. Head out to lunch. Sames as above, the girls and I love heading to lunch with Nana before we go window shopping.

4. Visit Grandparents. They're busy people during the week. My grandma does bowling, an exercise class, or two and heads to church functions quite often. Wish I had that much energy.

5. Deep clean something. The only time the husband is home and has tons of extra hours during the day. If anything needs heavy lifting or there's a chance of spiders he's on it.

6. Be lazy. Oh goodness, how I love to sleep in even 10 minutes on weekend mornings.

7. Watch movies. Friday nights = family nights.

8. Destroy the house. Seems like when daddy is home the girls get into everything and nothing gets put back.

9. Nice long drives. When its cold like it is right now nothing beats grabbing some coffee or hot chocolate and hitting the road looking at all the new houses they're building and day dreaming of all that we want in our "dream house".

10. Pajama day.  Oh who am I kidding, this happens during the week too. It's nice to do it on the weekends when the husband is home.

What are things you do or like to do during the weekend?
