7 Question Saturday

Found this random survey while looking online...

Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?
** Open, I really don't mind it anymore that I'm married & a mom, plus my puppy likes to sleep in the closet occasionally. **

Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?
**No I don't, I even bring my own, I like my own hair stuff**

Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?
**Out, I honestly don't put flat sheets on my bed, they just drive me crazy! **

Have you ever stolen a street sign before?
** Nope, though hubby & I have a picture of us by a street sign with our last name on it, we found it while we were driving around Idaho for our honeymoon**

Do you like to use post-it notes?
**Nope **

Do you cut out coupons but then never use them?
**Oh Yes**

Do you always smile for pictures?
** It really depends. Though I've started to smile showing my teeth since I've been married. Before I hated to show my teeth.**

Animal Prints

Taken 5/28

I love my little girl, and I love being able to dress her in crazy animal prints, and bright pink. If only mom could pull it off :) I can't believe she's going to be 3 months on Sunday! She's growing up too fast! Its definitely bittersweet, more on that to come.  That's right 2 posts in one day!

First Dr Appt... I guess

So yesterday, Thursday, 6/2, I took my baby in for the very first time to the Dr's. Well the first time taking her outside of her wellness check ups. I was sure she had an ear infection. After her bath earlier I noticed some drainage from  her ear. Crap. I called my mom because Dr. Google brought me to sites such as Baby.Center that told me babies do a few different things for ear infections:

They pull on their ears... she doesn't do this...I don't think she even knows she has ears
They don't like to lay problem there. She's fine laying down.
They don't eat very well... umm... my boobs say she's fine there.
Drainage... yeah today but thats it.

Well I called my mom, my brother had so many ear infections he eventually went deaf, he's able to hear now thank goodness. She said her babies never had any signs other than random drainage, so that decided it, I was going to go in. Thankfully they had an appointment for 2, only half an hour from when I called.

They got her weight and she's grown! 12lbs 12.5 oz! Yay! Well he came in and she was all sorts of wiggly for him, kicking him and such. It was too cute. Right ear was fine, left ear middle ear, ear drum looked fine, but there was some drainage, so he gave us some drops and said 4 drops twice a day just to be safe she may have an infection further in but he doesn't think so then the all important question comes

  any other questions?

I didn't have any but my dear sweet Skyler did, now for the record when he is home we dwell in the living room, it's our lazy time, I take a break from cleaning most of the time he's off work, and at night we just wind down watching shows. Well Abigail is used to moving around non stop so his days off she is bored with just sitting with him, and then at night when he finally gets home its about her bed time so she's fussy. Because of all that he assumes that she is cranky all the time. Well he brought that up, so he suggested gripe water. Okay, more free samples, and then he said her diaper has been switching from green to yellow a lot. Well thats normal too.

I understand his concern, but I've told him it's all normal, theres this mom thing that I believe we have that lets us know if there is something wrong with our babies. I don't know why but I feel stupid when he asks things that I've already answered for him. I feel like a bad mom. I feel like they look at me like I'm stupid. I'm too young. I don't know it's just ridiculous lol.

That picture right there warms my heart so much. I can't help but smile looking at those two together. That little boy of course is Cadin aka Moose, my nephew. And you should all know my little miss, A aka Turkey, as in goober! :)  These two love to be together, he's the only one that can call her by her first name and get her to turn, he'll say, BABY ABIGAIL LOOK AT ME! and she'll turn her head straight at him. <3 it. I'll always consider him to be my first baby. Him and I have a bond together that I'm not sure I'll have with my other nieces and nephews. Anyway, my mom (you can see her arm in that picture) says that this reminds her of her first born kids, (myself and my younger brother) only opposite, we have tons of pictures at my mom's house of me laying with my brother just like that, on the bed, on the couch, funny thing is Moose, looks identical to his daddy. I have a picture on my nightstand of my brother and I riding a horse together around his age (3) and me being about 5, and Moose always says, "hey that's me riding that horse, but who's that little girl me dont know her" I have to always explain that that is his dad and his aunt Sara. I'm so glad these two will grow up together. He needs a "cousin sibling" as my dad puts it.

Whats with that picture right? Well if you look closely, you can see a cute little hand holding on to a shirt. That would be my little girl holding on to my shirt. This is her new thing lately. She holds on to me. I was telling Skyler last night about our morning routine, and he figured I'd better write it down. In the mornings after daddy leaves little miss is either being fed or just finished being fed her first side. After that she's very playful, just laying there talking grabbing at my face squirming everywhere, then she starts to get sleepy again, she wriggles herself down close to me grabbing at my shirt trying to get comfy, and we cuddle for a bit. Then she realizes she's only one side in on eating, so she starts to make a feed me squawk and after that she just holds on to my bra strap, until she falls asleep, and most mornings I have to fake being asleep so that she'll fall asleep, which makes me actually fall asleep, which in turn means my house isn't as clean as I'd like it to be but if that means that I get to spend just a bit more time laying in bed with my little miss, just the two of us, its definitely worth it.
