Sunday afternoon, we were driving to return a couple movies. On our way, I noticed a house, filled with cars and people outside. It didn't look right. Later I noticed the same. That evening when we were heading to family dinner with my parents, my mom told me that the teenage boy that lived there was taken by Life Flight. We found out that he had later passed on, he had committed suicide.

The next morning I saw post after post on Facebook, from people grieving for the family. People remembering this sweet young boy. My sister knew him from school, he was kind, accepted my sister for who she is. Then today, there was an announcement at her school that another kid had again committed suicide.

That's the cause of these two losses. Two kids, were pushed so far, that it just didn't seem worth it anymore. Two families are without their sons, brothers, and so much more. I know there have been many things in the news about this, but to have it so close to home, makes it even more real.

I was bullied in school. My brother was bullied. My sister was bullied and she was brave enough to bring it up and the administrator told her to "stay away from the girl". I worry for my youngest sister. She's a sweet person, emotional, strong. But different. She's being bullied. She stands up for herself though, she gives it back. Calls people on it. Stands up for kids being bullied, but how much can she take? I can't believe that two kids from the same school in the same week, deciding they couldn't take it anymore. I fear for what school will be like when A goes.

These are fears that everyone has for their kids I'm sure. Just today, this week, it's on my mind.

Will things change? Will this school realize they are doing something wrong somewhere?

I was tagged, to answer some questions from Di at A Little Bit of Life.

1) What is your least favorite chore?
Definitely dusting. Wait, cleaning the toilet. Umm, dishes? You know the ones that have been in the fridge or hub's car WAY WAY too long.

2) Do you prefer salty or sweet snacks?
I like both. Though, I'm sure I choose sweet most of the time. I love chocolate.

3) What's your favorite pick me up on days that you are dragging?
Hmmm, that's a hard one.  I started NOT drinking soda about a month ago? and moved onto a cup of coffee in the morning, but now I'm trying to get away from coffee.  So right now, if I'm dragging, I'm dragging. Though, I do like having something to do! Strange right? Knowing I'll go out and go shopping, will help me wake up, will get me excited for the day.

4) How did you meet your other half?
Online. I feel strange saying it.

5) Are you a neat freak, messy, or somewhere in between?
Somewhere in between for sure. I've learned there are some battles you just shouldn't fight out. Like keeping things clean, hubs is a pig. I love him but it's true. And A, well she's an explorer, and I love watching her explore, though it does mean a mess. So I pick my battles and keep the bathroom/closet & a few other rooms, as spotless as I can, and others I just let life take it.

6) Are you a risk taker or more of a rule follower?
A rule follower for sure.  Always have been. Except for those few months I was dating the hubs. I was 18 though, so it's not like I was really not listening to my parents, I just wasn't doing what they would prefer I do.

7) Describe your kitchen.?
A work in progress. I redid the cabinets, and painted, now its time to get decorating.

8) If your life was a TV show what would the title be?
It'd be a drama filled show for sure. How about, My Crazy, Wonderful Life.

9) What is your favorite way to spend Friday night
Snuggling with A. My family has "family date night" and we all get together and hang out. Unless the hubs is home and we just snuggle up to a movie.

10) Do you have a favorite restaurant? What do you order there?
I don't right now, which is strange. Since moving to Utah there hasn't been a MUST GO TO place. In California, I had many favorites! I do like Pesto stuff though!

11) Tell me about your most annoying neighbor...
I think I actually like most of my neighbors. I don't know very many of them. But I do dislike the ones that figure the parties need to last past 12, for fireworks and such, and run out screaming every holiday like animals, waking my baby. Or the strange guy that always walks up to my house to use my garbage can. I don't like that. Or how about the teenage girl up the street who's boyfriend parks in front of my house some nights, and leaves his DIRTY UNDERWEAR in my driveway. Yeah, if I could catch him one of these times I'd beat him.

So now I need to tag some people and then you are supposed to answer my questions (below), then you  tag  more people and give them their own questions, if you'd like to!

So I'm just going down and randomly putting people on here, don't feel like doing this? Fine by me! Feel like doing it and you weren't tagged? Let me know, I'll add ya.

It's Okay.

Its Ok Thursdays

I'm a little upset right now. It's okay.

See the great job that the hubs had applied for, well it looks like it's not going to work out. Even though it hurts to say this, it's okay.

I know there will be other jobs. We just needed this one. It would give us a normal schedule. It would give Sky more time to see A.

It's okay that I also decided this week that I wouldn't watch Eternity, the demon child. Her mom and mom's boyfriend had a very difficult time, being on time, or even showing up. I couldn't get up at 5:30 and wait for 5 hours for someone to show up. I can't mess up A's schedule for no reason.

It's okay that I've accepted the fact that I will probably keep my hair short.

It's okay that I've slipped and had a few soda's here and there. I don't drink them like I used to.

Which brings me to the fact that, it's okay that I've gained like 3 pounds.

It's okay that I made a yummy Chex/Crispies snack yesterday and ate almost the entire container.

It's okay that A decided to sleep through the night, Tuesday night, but last night the storm woke her once and she ended up sleeping with us.

It's okay that I left laundry in the wash (again) over night and now need to wash it again.

It's okay that I might not get to it anytime soon.

It's okay, isn't it?

10 Things I'd Rather be Doing than Cleaning.

Playing with A.

AND just because I feel like making lists!

10 Things I don't like to clean.

(My husband's to be specific. Gross.)

The garage.
(Bugs. AH!)

The basement.
(My sister & her family destroyed it and left.)

The fridge.
(To be more specific, the Tupperware in it.)

Sky's car.
(He leaves Tupperware in it.)

Diaper Explosions.

Anything the dog leaves in the house that he shouldn't.
(Thankfully this like never happens.)

My craft box.
(It's a mess & even when cleaned it gets ridiculously messy ridiculously fast.)

Cuts, on other people.
(Sky has stepped on glass and cut his thumb open with cans and it's almost too much for me to handle.)

(It always messes up my nail polish! ha!)
