It's Okay.

Its Ok Thursdays

It's Okay That:

No one thought yesterday's video was funny, cause I sure did.
There are Fruit Loops all over my bedroom, because A likes it that way.
I empty my vacuum like once a day because it fills up so quickly.
I'm sad that we finished all of the seasons of 30 Rock on Netflix.
I'm super excited to finally be doing a giveaway on my blog next week!
I haven't really written any blog posts this week, most were just drafts I finally posted.
I really feel like changing my hair & am trying to avoid cutting it since I'm trying to grow it out.
I'm a little upset about my baby being 18 months next week! Ah!

Writing about IRL people.

Over the course of the past couple years that I've been writing this blog, anytime I've said something about family or my in-laws, people seem to be shocked that I'd say that on my blog.

Well I do what I want! :)
Is it really that simple?
Well yes & no.

Here are some of the ways I'm able to write about IRL People.

"Writing about IRL people on your blog."

1. Make sure no one IRL knows about your blog.
Meaning I don't connect it to my Facebook or let even one person in on it.

I have a Facebook under my blog email address
specifically for a Facebook Fan Page for my blog.

2. Have the support of your husband if you're blogging about your in-laws.
My husband understands that I need a place to vent when things get bad. He knows
that sometimes I figure out my problems by writing it out & hearing what others think.

3. Don't lie.
Seriously, lying isn't cool.
If someone IRL were to find out that I  wrote lies about them,
 more drama would only come.

4. Remember they have their side of the story.
I try to make sure I let my  readers know that this was my take on the situation.
I also try to remember what I see/feel might be different than the other person involved.

5. Choose your battles.
I use my  blog to find support, to vent & to better myself.
Don't use it to cause drama.
Use it to fix it.

6.Make sure you are prepared for that person to read your post.
One thing I learned, is that if you say something about someone,
you'd better be prepared for that person to hear it.
Ask yourself these things before posting:

Do I support what I wrote?
Is there anything I can change to cover myself?
Should I post this?

So pretty much, be smart people!

I'm not saying go & post crap about your family or in-laws on here.
So don't do that.
I'm just saying sometimes we need to vent & figure things out.
That's okay. Just remember my "tips".
Ha.

Show & Tell Monday.

Wedding Bells Ringing

Are you married? If so when did you get married, and tell us about your special day. If not? How would you describe your dream wedding?
Yup, I'm married! Been married to my wonderful husband for 4 years! We got married Aug 16, 2008. I wanted a really small wedding so we just got married in my parent's backyard. I honestly wish we would have just got to the courthouse. Though I know that our families wouldn't have been too happy with that.

 Show us some wedding pictures.

First time we got to sit and relax after the ceremony.

Cutting the cake after the money dance!

How about the engagement? Tell us your story. If not engaged, what's your dream proposal?
On my 19th birthday, my sweetie took me to dinner & then to a park. He had his mom set up a picnic table there with candles & roses. I was still taking it all in when he popped the question. I hadn't even turned around yet & he was on one knee, so I turned around a little confused & he asked again. Ha. Wish his mom would have brought a camera.

Show us your wedding rings or an engagement photo! If not engaged/married ... show us your "dream" ring.

Don't ask why it's such an awful picture, I'm going to try & change it out later.

Tell us why you think marriage doesn't work out for so many? What can we do to make things last ?
You know, I don't think people are willing to put in the work. Our marriage wasn't perfect in the beginning. We knew it and did something about it. I also think a lot of people don't side with their spouse. I know that was big problem for us, my hubby's family would lie & say awful things about me & my family and my husband would take their side, that's a big problem. I know they say you marry your spouse's family but I really think the families need to learn how to back off & that we need to learn how to tell our families to relax.

All About the Internet

Sunday Social

This weeks Questions: All About the Internet

1. What is the first website you log on to each day?
Hotmail from my phone, but online, blogger.

2. Give us some funny websites you visit that we need to know about
I don't have any. Eek. Need to find some.

3. Pinterest or Facebook? Why?
Pinterest! Facebook is too much drama for me.

4. Twitter or Instagram?
Twitter!

5. Favorite youtube video...post it!

I honestly only learn new crochet stitches on youtube. I sound old. So anyway I'm super excited to see what you guys come up with!

My brother showed me this one the other day.

My husband thinks this one is hilarious. It drives me crazy.

But that is what happens when a group of guys work together in an office & watch YouTube .

I can't believe I shared that last video. Oh well!

6. Biggest online pet peeve?
Facebook drama, & the same picture being shared over and over and over again. I could go on forever, so I'll stop there!

Happy Sunday!

P.S. Remember I'm still looking for bloggers to contribute to a giveaway I'm having Sept 3rd - 6th. If you're interested just shoot me an email!
