It's Okay & Thankful Thursdays All in One.

I've got so much on my mind right now that this is a great day for a link up or two!

It's Okay to have piles of laundry waiting to be folded & put away.
I'm thankful for a husband that is understanding when it comes to this hip pain that makes it near impossible to walk up and down the stairs to do laundry. So after work he comes home & carries baskets up and down for me so I only have to make a few trips here and there.

It's Okay to get emotional when I see my poor little yorkie Scout or think about the fact that he can only see out of one eye now.
I'm thankful that it's only the one eye and that nothing else happened to him.

It's Okay that A and I are still catching up on sleep since our quick weekend vacation to Vegas.

I'm thankful that we could make the quick 6 hour drive out to see my sister & her little family. I miss them so much. A had so much fun with her cousin, Aunt & Uncle!

It's Okay that I'm not looking forward to the BBQ with my in-laws this Saturday night.
I'm thankful that my husband understands that it's hard for me to be around them. I'm so thankful that I have such a great family of my own to surround myself with and it just keeps growing.

It's Okay that I didn't take a ton of pictures while we were on vacation like I wanted to.
I'm thankful for pictures like this one.

Spring Cleaning

Friends, I need some people to guest post. Still. Just really about anything. Let me know if you're up for it!

Morning sickness wrecked havoc on my life for the first 16 or so weeks. I didn't want to do anything. So I did very little. Some days (more often than not), I wouldn't do anything. Nothing was cleaned, besides A & I. I just didn't care and luckily neither did the Mr. Now that I've hit the 3rd Trimester and little Miss M will be here in about 11 weeks (give or take of course), I've really started to hit the house hard. Spring cleaning & nesting combined, makes for a busy day.

Oh how it disgusts me when I see all the things that need to be done. Dusting and windows and baseboards. Closets needing to be emptied and reorganized, hopefully minimizing the clutter while doing so. It doesn't seem to ever end. Will it?

I think I need a better way of cleaning/spring cleaning. I need to be more organized about it.
Right now I just pick & choose things I feel like cleaning. Usually the kitchen, hall closet & master bedroom. (The living room stays pretty clean on its own thank goodness.)
I know I've seen cleaning charts and such around, but what do you do with your housekeeping routine?

How do you keep it clean? How do you figure out what to deep clean?

Our Week, so far.

Excuse the dust on this blog. Things have been crazy lately. Only to get crazier and probably dustier. Okay let's hope not. I need people to guest post to help me out! I have tons of drafts but not enough time to finish them it seems. Maybe this weekend I can get some done.

Here is my week in review so far....

Monday: 27 week check up means Glucose test, after a weekend of a stomach bug. New (to the office) nurse means my arm is bruised and has a large knot in it from the blood work. That picture is not too long after it happened so it looks pretty good, right now it's dark blue and purple. Still sore, and I had blood work done 3 days ago.

Tuesday: A has a cold and that glucose test was still kicking my butt so we spent most of the day at home and even fit in a 2 hour nap. It might sound relaxing, but look at that picture, she slept for over an hour like that on me. Later I did some body bronzing with my mom thanks to my awesome friend Bethany.

Wednesday: Oh yesterday, what a nice day it started out as, my mom & I got our nails done & even little A decided she wanted her's painted. Then A & I spent the lunch teasing my sister through text because we hit up the Thai place she loves. I took Scout to the vet for the 3rd time this month. Looks like he won't be able to see out of his eye (more to come on that in another post). Hit up Old Navy & then Hobby Lobby for some paper for Baby Shower invites.

When we headed back to my moms, things took a bad turn. My brother's fiance started yelling and swearing at my mom & I. I won't go into detail because this drama has been going on for about a month now. But it all happened in front of A, my sister & her friend, heck even my brother popped up. No one said anything. My mom & I even managed to not say anything to her. But now that it's happened over 15 hours ago & I'm still pissed, I'm not sure that I'll be able to keep quiet. Let's hope so.

So we're on to today.

Thursday: Today includes facials, packing and shopping for snacks, because tomorrow my parents, The Mr., A & I are headed for Vegas. I can't wait to see my sister, her daughter & boyfriend. Also, cannot wait to get away from this stupid Utah weather. It was in the 60's dropped to the low 40's, gave us lots of rain and some snow and next week it'll be warm. Too crazy for me right now. I want a nice warm weekend in Vegas with my family.

What have you been up to lately?

First Date Things to Avoid.

3 Things you should NEVER do on a first date

1. Hit a guy with a golf club.
(My friend Noddle still remembers the time I set his friend up with a friend of mine for prom & during our outing for them to meet, she hit him with the golf club while playing mini golf, oh how I wish I could say it could have gone better.)

2. Pick your nose.
(Seriously guys, at least pretend to care about your appearance while you're out on a date, especially a first date. Because chances are someone will point it out & then your date is ruined.)

3. Be super touchy.
(Really, people? You don't know each other don't try and be all over your date. Chances are you'll going to get smacked in the face. Then if you try & follow her out to her car & try & open the car door after she's in and trying to leave, she might just hit you with the car door.)

Oh the many fun dating stories I have. Definitely have to share more of them sometime.
Have you ever been on an awful first date?

10 Favorite Places My Husband Kissed Me

1.In the park where he proposed.
2. In our home.
3. At my parents' house. (Our first kiss.)
4. The place we got married.
5. At the hospital where A was born.
6. Any place we're standing after an argument.
7. In front of our house, after we bought it.
8. In the kitchen, when he gets home from work everyday.
9. In the driveway at my parents when he would come back from drill.
10. In the living room when I've fallen asleep on the couch.

An old picture but one of my favorites.

Most of my places are at home. What can I say, its one of my favorite places to be.
