Thanksgiving Point.

About a month ago we headed down to Thanksgiving Point to hit up the Museums. It was one of those trips where you mean to take pictures but only get a few, and those few maybe aren't the best, but it doesn't matter because, it was wonderful.

First we headed to the Museum of Natural Curiosity. If you haven't been here before, check out the pictures. I didn't get more than a few here and there was A TON to do. The best part was heading outside to the playground while we waited to meet some goats & rabbits. Both of my girls LOVED petting the rabbits.

My husband and brother made sure they got in on the action at the playground. The zip line was awesome! My sister-in-law and I did it too. Abigail was the first one to jump on and give it a try. She's always so brave and willing to try new things.

After lunch we headed to the Museum of Ancient Life. I was worried that my girls wouldn't care to see the dinosaurs. I was terrified when I was younger & they had them at the zoo. Madilynn absolutely LOVED the dinosaurs and couldn't help but squeal every time we moved into a new room!

Our last stop was Farm Country. Madilynn was asleep by the time we walked over, but we had Abigail had a great time looking at all the animals and was even brave enough to feed a goat! We took a short little wagon ride around the farm and headed home.

I think we had a pretty great time. I feel like if my girls were even just a year or so older they would have enjoyed it more. I can't wait to see what our trip there next year brings. Hopefully we head down for the Tulip Festival.

Microblog: Love

"People don't like love, they like that flittery flirty feeling. They don't love love- love is sacrificial, love is ferocious, it's not emotive. Our culture doesn't love love, it loves the idea of love. It wants the emotion without paying anything for it." - Matt Chandler

3 Places You Probably Don't Vacuum.

Finally starting to get to my spring cleaning and wondered if there were some places that I vacuum that you don't. Maybe you already do these & I've been lost somewhere not knowing that this is what people do!

1. Bathroom Fans. - While pregnant with my oldest I spent lots of time dealing with morning sickness. One of these bittersweet moments spent in the bathroom, brought me to look up at the ceiling. That's when I noticed. The fan. Why in the heck hadn't I vacuumed it? It collects dust like crazy!

2. Floor Vents. - Open them up. Seriously, my children and their cousins are known to drop stuff (food) down into them. I never thought about vacuuming them out until I realized how much crap was actually falling down into them, and not necessarily on purpose.

3. Under drawers.- The ones in your vanity. When I want a real deep clean I'll vacuum every single drawer and every single cabinet out before wiping them down. I realized that under the bottom drawer needed to be vacuumed out when something got stuck then fell down under it. It was a mess of dust and hair.

Where do you vacuum that maybe others don't?

Microblog Monday.

"People who love to eat, are always the best people." Julia Child.

Me. Seriously. I love to eat. I could possibly be pretty awesome too.
We've been trying to do clean eating more often. It's been fun but I feel like it's getting boring, I'm running out of recipes.

Do you have any to share? A Pinterest board I can follow?

Hair- it's time for a change.

If you follow me on Instagram you know that I bleached my hair and colored it red back in November. I absolutely loved it and have been keeping it up (minus the bleaching part). Well the time has finally come. The hair is getting a change this Wednesday. It's forever away. I mean it's Monday 5pm and Wednesday is never coming.

If you follow me on Pinterest you might have seen some of my hair ideas- if not here are some of the things I'm tossing around.

This cut. Eek do I dare?! It's shorter than I've had my hair in years!

This color.

This cut/color, I mean it would be a little shorter since I have the asymmetrical thing going on right now.

This color.

I'm leaning towards the top two. Eek.
How do you make hair decisions?
Does it keep you up at night like it does me?

March- Guy Behind the Blog

1 // do you have a good luck charm or ritual? (like a lucky coin, or you always used to listen to a certain pump-up song when you played sports in high school or college?)

Nope. Honestly he looked at me like I was crazy when I asked him. But maybe because he has no idea what this is for ha.

2 // what is your favorite dish that your wife/fiance/girlfriend makes for you?  do you have any fun memories of a time when she tried to cook and it totally flopped or does she get it right every time?

Cauliflower Pizza. This one right here, oh man is it a ton of work but totally worth it. I really like it too!

3 // what did you want to be when you were growing up?

It's funny most of these questions I had to ask him but this one I knew right away. He has always wanted to be an Entrepreneur.

4 // which of the five senses is your strongest?

We have no idea. Every sense is answered with an "eh". We're not doing too well are we?

5 // would you ever run for president?

No.

Life Now.

It's felt like the world has been spinning so fast lately. Throwing things at us left and right. It's been wonderful. Busy but wonderful. Hopefully in time you can be all caught up on our journey. I don't know where to begin, does anyone remember my last me post? The one where I updated you and rekindled that friendship we had started? Me either? I looked back a few months and still nothing.

We ended 2014 with goals in mind. Big goals, goals that take time, effort and a whole lot of team work.

We've been slowly remodeling our house. Problem after problem has taken us from one room to the next. I am proud to say that we have finally completed the upstairs portion of our house. Now the fun stuff comes, decorating.

My 3 year old is now 4. She is a Sunbeam in church and absolutely perfect in every way. She's helpful, kind, strong willed, and brave as heck. She's really making me grow as a person, strange right? The courage she has is the courage I've wanted and needed and I'm slowly finding my own. She is coming to the end of Joy School and has been enrolled in a Pre-K class for next year. She's also started decorating her own room. By herself.

Our baby is growing so fast. She is coming up on 21 months old, a fan of attempting to potty train herself. We've just about gotten her problems sorted out and are now enjoying large chunks of sleep at night. It's been wonderful. She's a determined little girl and surely brings a whole new dimension to this family.

Life is wonderful. It always has been- but seems to have found a groove right now and the groove is good. It's where we need to be right now. How has 2015 been treating you?

{Review} Pura D'or Organic Argan Oil Shampoo

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that I took a jump and colored my hair a lighter color this last November! To achieve a new lighter color I let my sister bleach my hair! EEK! I really love my new lighter hair, a nice dark Red Blonde. Besides the damage done by bleaching my only problem has been my hair color fading super fast! I tried only washing my hair every other day even though I don't care to do that and still found I was coloring it every almost 2 weeks.

Insert the chance to review the Pura D'or Organic Argan Oil Shampoo and bam! My hair was finally enjoying life again. Some highlights on this shampoo:

Sulfate, Paraben, and Gluten Free with built-in vitamins and DHT blockers
Helps prevent hair loss and split ends
Thickens hair and adds volume
Hydrates and shines hair for a healthy scalp
Organic

Sounds awesome right? It totally is! No longer is my hair fading incredibly fast thanks to cheap shampoos, it just fades at what I would consider a decent timeline considering my hair is red. Also, the damage done from bleaching the heck out of my dark hair and then constantly coloring my hair was reversed! Seriously. It has been wonderful. My husband agreed to start using it because he is worried about hair loss (someone must be turning 30 this year!) and swears he has noticed a slight change.

Bonus, I barely use any shampoo and have noticed I don't need nearly as much conditioner as I thought! Love it! Do you color your hair often? Do you find that your hair color is fading fast- ever stop and think that it was your shampoo that was causing that problem? I know I didn't. What is your favorite shampoo for color treated/damaged hair? I know what mine is! I did receive this product in exchange for a review, but all opinions are my own! I really do love this shampoo!

{Review} Car Seat Back Protector

I cannot keep little feet off the back of my car seat, especially if these little feet are dirty. It wasn't until we had two kids that I noticed this new problem. At least one of them has to be behind a seat and you know those seats attract feet like magnets. I used to have to tell them several times to keep their feet off, "put your shoes down", stop kicking my chair, but now I have this awesome little car seat back protector in my car.

If only I could get that great of a picture of it in my car. I'll have to keep trying. Also I need to vacuum my car out, something happened with some peanut butter crackers. They may have exploded, or at least look like they did.

Anyway, so one day I'm sitting in the parking lot and my husband is running into the store and I just so happened to leave the mail in the car on the day I got this! I stuck it on (easily!!!) and he didn't even notice! I love the fact that it went on so perfectly and so secretively. The packaging it came it was great! It also looks fine in the car, isn't even noticeable. Great product, would recommend it to anyone that has little feet that like to kick the back of their cars. Even though I got this product in exchange for a review, all opinions are my own. If you have little feet constantly touching the back of your car seat and want something to help protect it I'd definitely recommend this!

{Review} Clean Food Diet Ebook

January 21st and I'm pretty sure my eating hasn't improved a whole ton in the last 21 days. I'm pretty sure I haven't lost any weight, but you know what, I'm not super worried about it. If there is one thing I've learned about myself it's that making little changes over time is what works. It also works best for my kids. I've recently had the opportunity to review a Clean Food Diet Ebook and have incorporated some of the recipes into our meal routine.

We've enjoyed the Meatless Chili, as well as the Zuchini Oven Fries on many occasions. I have really enjoyed making and trying these new recipes. It's great to know that I'm feeding my family cleanly. I have enjoyed that the recipes are easy to follow and several don't include tons of ingredients that I don't have on hand. This book teaches you what clean eating is, what to, how to eat clean as well as how to cook clean. The recipes include appetizers, soups, salads, main dishes and desserts. I'm super excited to keep adding these recipes into our lives.

I did get this in exchange for a review, but all opinions are my own honest opinions.

Do you eat clean? What are your favorite clean eating recipes?

{Review} Portollano Womens Gloves

If there is one thing I don't have enough of, or even any of, are gloves. I don't know how I have survived the last dozen or so winters without them. I don't remember a time having any other than the cheap dollar ones you can get but end up with holes in even if you cut the tags off. Well this past month I've been enjoying my Portollano Womens High Fashion Gloves. These gloves are super cute.

Honestly, at first I was super turned off by the color and was wondering what the heck people were thinking calling this color of orange a high fashion color, when to me it felt more like construction orange. After giving them a try for a couple days, I FELL IN LOVE. They are so comfy, so easy to put on and they are snug but just the right amount of snug. The color though it doesn't exactly match everything I have, it matches enough fairly well that I can get away with wearing them often. Also, great when I had to sneak them out to shovel some snow. Now they stay in the kitchen close to the garage so my sister can borrow them also, which she loves them too!

I did get these in exchange for a review but all opinions are my own honest opinions.

Do you have gloves that you love? Or are you lucky enough to live somewhere that you don't need gloves?

100% Plant Based Konjac Sponge - Original White Review

If there is one thing I love doing after a long busy day or even first thing in the morning, it would be washing my face. I love nice clean makeup free skin at bed time or starting with a clean slate in the morning. It wasn't until this past year that I started using things like sponges and cloths to help me wash my face. Of the few sponges and couple of wash cloths my favorite has been the  100% Plant Based Konjac Sponge - Original White

This sponge is amazing! It's a nice tear drop shape so it is great for getting around the edges of my nose, which is my driest and most easily irritated part of my face. Some highlights of this awesome sponge include:

It is 100% Natural - free from chemicals, pollution & irritants.
Eco-Friendly.
Biodegradeable- they say you can plant it in your flowerbed or compost once you're done with it and it's totally safe.
Exfoliates gently.

The bamboo charcoal absorbs toxins and fights bacteria and the excess oils on your face.

This has become one of my favorite items to use to wash my face. I've had it for over a month now and haven't had any problems with it falling apart like some of the other sponges I have used. If there was thing I could add, I'd include a shower hook for it. Luckily I already had some not being used, but it definitely helps with drying. I did receive this in exchange for a review but all opinions are my own!

Do you use a sponge, washcloth or just your hand to wash your face?
What's your favorite?

ABC Flashcards: eBook Review

It seems like I can't quite keep my phone in my hands. It always seems to find its way into the hands of my little girls. Miss M doesn't quite understand what to do with it and I end up with lots of selfies and videos of random moments of our day. If only that were the same for Miss A. She knows how to navigate YouTube and wander through the app store or Netflix. I've been trying to keep her away from my phone, but just to be safe I've made sure to put some fun apps and such on there for her. One thing we've been enjoying lately is the ABC Flashcards eBook. A fun eBook just perfect for my little 3 year old.

I would recommend this to any busy mom who is looking for something more than just an app to keep little hands busy on their phone or other devices. The pages are great, the pictures are bright and just busy yet simple enough to keep her entertained and not overwhelmed. I quite often will catch Miss A singing the ABC's to Miss M and looking at this book. Great product for your littles! I did get this in exchange for my honest review, that being said it is my honest opinion that this eBook is wonderful!

What apps or books do you keep handy on your devices for your littles?
